History of the Rabid BadgerBook One: Before the BadgerAlthough we had yet to perform as "The Rabid Badger Theatre Company" at the time that this was written, theactrical works had already been achieved cooperatively by our members. Most notably was the production of "The Lethargy of the Christ" at The University of Wisconsin Platteville. This production was directed, produced, and performed almost entirely by students, (and a couple of recent alumni,) as well as being co-written by two of our founding members. Book Two: Our ongoing early daysSeptember 21st, 2005 - The Rabid Badger Theatre Company made its debut performing the one-act play "Playground Mandate" at a rally for the International Day of Peace and Global Ceasefire organized by Kijiji School and Kids for Peace. April 29, 2006 - Our full-length Madison debut, "An Evening with the Rabid Badger" was performed at the Madison Center for Creative and Cultural Arts. Read a review of the show here. October 28, 2006 - Rabid Badger founders Erick and Melissa Stelter participate in/help create the Mt. Horeb Baby Doll Massacre. December 2nd, 2006 - An encore of "Punch and Pie" was performed at the Madison Center for Creative and Cultural Arts, and is recognized as "Critic's Choice" in local Madison publication The Isthmus. Read an article about the show here. December 21, 2006 - The Kijiji School performed the original holiday play What if? An Allied Drive Christmas Story at the Dane County Boys and Girls club. Rabid Badgers Tom Doebert, Matt Schrader, Erick Stelter and Melissa Stelter assisted in the production. |
